What is Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a brain–body-based method that uses eye position, focused mindfulness, and the attuned relationship between coach and client to access parts of the brain and body holding unresolved tension or “stuck” energy.
By focusing on a specific eye position—called a brainspot—we access deeper layers of your internal experience beyond what words or logic alone can reach.
Brainspotting works on the principle that “where you look affects how you feel,” helping your nervous system gently process stored emotional material.
How It Supports Coaching Goals
Brainspotting can help you:
- Shift long-standing emotional patterns like people-pleasing, shutdown, or overthinking
- Move past internal blocks that logic hasn’t resolved
- Access your own intuitive wisdom and embodied clarity
- Regulate your nervous system after stress, burnout, or identity confusion
- Deepen the connection between body, emotions, and personal agency
What a Session May Feel Like
We start with a topic or feeling you want to explore
Together, we find a gaze spot connected to that issue
You observe your internal experience from that spot—no judgment, no pressure—while I hold supportive space
You may notice emotions, physical sensations, or insights arise
You remain in control—able to pause, slow down, or change focus anytime
My Role and Ethical Scope
As a Phase 1 and Phase 2 trained Brainspotting practitioner, I provide Brainspotting as a trauma-informed coaching tool for nervous system support and emotional integration. When hired as a coach, I do not offer therapy, trauma treatment, or mental health services. If needed, I will assist you in finding appropriate licensed care.
